Studio Anyo is a London architecture practice. Most of our work is in the capital, for developers, investors, hotel operators and homeowners: new homes, modular hotels, student living, office conversions and building safety remediation. Below is a selection of our London projects, grouped by type.
Modular hotels
- citizenM Tower of London, EC3: 400-room flagship hotel built with Polcom modules on a restricted site above Tower Hill station.
- citizenM Shoreditch, EC2: 135-bedroom modular hotel with 8 homes, retail and public space, design and build for Bouygues UK.
- citizenM Bankside, SE1: 5,750m² hotel, part of citizenM’s global roll-out, completed 2011.
- Marlin Hotel, Stratford, E15: MMC adviser and designer for the design and delivery strategy of the planning submission.
New homes and residential
- Clandon Gardens, Finchley, N3: two-storey modular rooftop extension with 31 co-living rooms; planning application submitted to Barnet.
- Building 11, Royal Arsenal, Woolwich: 42 modular apartments for Berkeley Homes, with Forta Pro.
- The Officers’ House, Royal Arsenal, Woolwich: 19 new apartments in 48 modules plus a restored Grade II listed block; Housing Design Award.
- 42–44 Queensway, W2: 63 homes, including 8 affordable, and over 52,000 sq ft of offices.
- Golders Green Road, NW11: 111 apartments on a former restaurant site, two to six storeys.
- Spectrum House, Hendon, NW4: 32 apartments with basement parking.
- 45–47 Friern Barnet Road, N11: five-storey building with 32 homes on a former GP surgery site.
- 11 Upton Lane, Forest Gate, E7: 13 homes and flexible commercial space.
- Nursery Lane, 12–14 Upton Lane, E7: nine apartments and commercial space.
- 174 Ripple Road, Barking: five storeys with eight homes and a commercial unit.
- Shoreditch Village, EC2A: eight build-to-rent apartments, architecture and interior design.
Student living
- iQ Bankside, SE1: refurbishment of an eight-storey building with 150 studios.
- iQ Paris Garden, SE1: extension and refurbishment to add rooms and improve amenity space.
- iQ expansion strategy, within the M25: portfolio review to expand and optimise iQ’s London buildings.
Offices, conversions and refurbishment
- 267 Ballards Lane, Finchley, N12: residential-to-office conversion, delivered to Cat A for the occupier’s Cat B fit-out.
- Mercury House, Waterloo, SE1: phased refurbishment of a 1970s office building for Local-London.
- Capital Tower, Waterloo, SE1: floor-by-floor Cat A office refurbishment.
- Quay House, Canary Wharf, E14: refurbishment and conversion to co-working space.
- The Hub, Malton Road, W10: conversion of a former care home into a community services hub.
Building safety and cladding remediation
- City Reach, Aldgate, E1: architect and principal designer for the remediation of an eight-storey higher-risk residential building, through the Building Safety Regulator gateways.
Homes and interiors
- Leytonstone, E11: wraparound rear extension and interior design; planning granted by Waltham Forest.
- Rossetti House, St John’s Wood, NW8: apartment refurbishment and interior design, three bedrooms to four.
