Architect-led development management
We take on developments in partnership with our clients, and manage larger schemes on their behalf. As development manager, we take overall responsibility for moving a new property development forward, so you have one accountable team from site appraisal to completion.
Because we are architects who specialise in modern methods of construction (MMC), we can join up design, procurement and delivery in a way a standalone project manager cannot.
What we do
- Construction project management: programme, cost and risk managed from appointment to handover.
- Contract administration: running the building contract fairly and on time.
- Procurement: appointing consultants, contractors and MMC manufacturers, with offers compared like for like.
- Client representative: protecting your interests on site and at every key decision.
Hotel development management
On the CitizenM Tower of London hotel, we were appointed as design manager, and our role grew into joint lead development manager, guiding the project to completion. We continue to work with CitizenM Hotels.
Working closely with MMC manufacturer Polcom Group (now Molo Hotels Group), we led the development of the Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West, next to Oriam, Scotland’s Sport Performance Centre, on the Heriot-Watt University campus.
MMC procurement
We can procure directly from a range of MMC suppliers, including BK Gulf, for whom we are designing a new modular factory in Abu Dhabi. Acting as your single point of contact, we manage the whole construction process and the collaboration between you and the nominated suppliers.
