Brief
The Eight is a building of eight rental apartments in Shoreditch. The brief was a long-lasting rental product for mid-level professionals who want to live in the area.
The design needed to reflect the character of Shoreditch, from its industrial heritage to its creative energy.
Response
The interiors pair exposed brick with high-quality finishes. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in plenty of daylight, and contemporary art is curated through the apartments.
Each apartment has two or three bedrooms, with an en-suite to the main bedroom and a separate family bathroom. A reception room opens to a fully fitted open-plan kitchen with integrated appliances, and each home has a private balcony.
Air conditioning, underfloor heating and a wine cooler are included as standard.
