Brief

Stelling Properties asked us to help develop an MMC strategy and factory system for the roll-out of their Unilife student accommodation brand. Based in the South West, they chose to set up their factory close to their property locations around Winchester.

Our role

• Designed a prototype room.
• Helped shape their procurement strategy and choose the team to deliver their MMC portfolio.
• Combined the Unilife brand standards with MMC principles.
• Solved site and transport issues that would otherwise restrict MMC.
• Produced test fits so the brand could be rolled out to their sites with confidence.

Outcome

Stelling continued their MMC journey and now offer their system to other sectors, balancing their workload between their own developments and open-market work.
