Brief

UK glamping grew quickly during the pandemic, as people looked for outdoor holidays away from busy cities with a good level of comfort.

We designed Hydda as a sustainable glamping lodge that can sit in a meadow or among trees, and can run off grid where needed.

Response

Hydda is smaller than our Torp lodge and is designed around the Scandinavian idea of hygge, with a warm, cosy interior and a clean modern exterior.

The raised floor holds batteries, water storage and collection, and a backup generator. This gives Hydda off-grid capability without losing comfort.

Hydda works on a range of sites, from hotel resorts to remote rural retreats, and suits couples, families and solo travellers.
