Studio Anyo Features in the BBC

Our work appeared in the BBC this week as an article looked deeper into one of our groundbreaking carbon-netural projects.

The article delves into how developers SageHaus, working with our team, have planned a stunning carbon-neutral retirement home development of 61 homes in North Yorkshire’s Kirk Hammerton.

The project aims to address the area’s growing elderly population by utilizing solar panels, heat pumps, and modular construction to achieve net carbon-zero status. It also includes community facilities and allotments, catering to the region’s demand for specialized retirement options.

The end goal is sustainable living for rural seniors, with 100% renewable electricity and minimal environmental impact.

James Walsh, founder of Studio Anyo, says “This project marks a commendable step towards ecologically responsible housing for older residents and is one we’re really excited about. Providing carbon-neutrality in our projects is something we’re passionate about, and this another one we can add to the evergrowing list.”
