About

Our founder James began his education into all things architecture in 1989 at Limerick Institute of Technology as he picked up a Bachelor of Science Architectural Technology degree.

He then moved to Humberside, where he studied for a Bachelor of Architecture from the years 1992 - 1997.

He studied permaculture design where out sustainable design principles are based and organised the Sustainable Teachers Conference which was hosted by David Bellamy.

James began work at some of the leading architectural firms in the UK, including spells at Sheppard Robson and Hamilton Associates.

2016 - 2-18: Molo Hotels/Polcom Modular (Development Director)

2014 was the year Studio Anyo was founded by James Walsh whilst working at Citizen M on the Tower of London project. We started with a great team, including Kat who is still with us today. Work begun to build our portfolio and start working on some great projects.

We continued our work with Citizen M and Polcom modular at Tower of London, Bankside, and Shoreditch.

Our main clients were Shoreditch Village and Bourne Capital whom we still work with today.

We worked on some great projects in our early years, including developing our Torp Lodge, as well as working on projects such as IQ Paris Gardens, Nursery Lane, Meeting House Lane, Ripple Road, Capital Tower, and more.

As Studio Anyo grew in the industry, our team grew. We bought leading architects into the Anyo family and worked on more great projects, including Birkenshaw Street, Marriott Luton, Sagehaus, as well as Cliff House, a state-of-the-art carbon-positive hotel which falls right into our sustainable ethos.

Our 2021 Projects:

We continued to grow our team, as well as working on more great projects such as Citizen M Dublin, Eco Resort, as well as the huge Shoreditch Village which incorporates a Citizen M hotel. Other projects include Golders Green and East Gate Hotel.

2023 was another successful year for Studio Anyo. We bought on great new team members who have contributed towards some great projects such as Spectrum House, and Riva.

This year has started with a coloration with Enfund, a new AI start up which offers our clients QS services and funding solutions.  We also look to expand our Middle East presence with a collaboration with BK Modular.
