About James Walsh
James is a Chartered Architect and has 25 year experience across as range of sectors, particularly in housing and hospitality. Standout projects include CitizenM hotels at the Tower of London and in Shoreditch, Courtyard by Marriot hotels at Luton Airport and in Edinburgh at Heriot-Watt University.
He is a recognised expert in MMC (modern methods of construction) and all four of these hotel development included an MMC. Before starting StudioAnyo, James was an Associate Partner at Sheppard Robson where he led their hotel project portfolio. He was one of the founders of Axis, their technical studio where he specialised in modular solutions.
James is also a qualified Architectural Technician (B.sc for Limerick Regional Technical College) and was a member of CIOB prior to completing his architectural training. He has a specialism in façade design and has lead the packages for a number of signature building including the 480 Oxford Street, Rue Du Rhone Geneva and Tower of London, CitizenM. He has designed and patented a self sealing façade system for MMC buildings.
