Citizen M Shoreditch
Again, with this project we’ve been continuing the work of Sheppard Robson, as lead architect, in partnership with Citizen M. This scheme is located in the heart of the Shoreditch Village development and includes 135 bedroom modular hotel and eight residential units with retail and public spaces at ground level.
During construction, the team had a number of complications, including archaeological remains of buildings, bodies and historic artefacts, which meant liaising with Historic England throughout
the process.
Alongside this, the site is close to a live London Overground line, which intersects the site. This led to a few design constraints and logistical issues during construction, which we handled.
