Studio Anyo Features in The Times

The team at Studio Anyo were delighted to be mentioned in an article in the Times.

This told the story of the work we carried out for nurse Holly Ashley, who was under severe time constraints and needed to renovate her home.

When Kunle Barker heard about Holly’s story, he got in touch with the rest of the Studio Anyo team, and we jumped into action.

The area that we had to focus on was the garden. While Holly got settled into her new home (it had no heating, flooring, or anywhere to sit when she moved in) the area that was neglected was the garden.

And that’s where we came in.

The garden was a decent size, but wasn’t designed to really make the most of it, with overgrown grass and a small patio area the only real feature.

We knew the first step would be to split the garden into zones. This way, the garden would provide a wide variety of experiences and places to enjoy.

With a daughter living with her, she needed a relaxed spot near the house, so she can keep an ear open for little footsteps. We added a decked area that is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy some sunshine with a cold drink and a book.

After that, we added a play area for Imogen, which came armed with a brand new swing set. And finally, we used a decked path to head down the garden to a large entertainment zone, with a table and chairs for comfort, a pergola to add a spot of shade and decoration, and a quiet area where Holly can practise her beloved yoga.

Check out the images below to see for yourself the work that was done, and if you want to know, why not head over to the Times and read the full story of how Studio Anyo transformed Holly’s garden.
